Every time I start Firefox ( up to date version ) I get this warning.

Is it something wrong with Firefox ?
If AVG finds and avoids a problem - why does it recur ?
Can I do something to sort it out ?

Thank you for sharing us the screenshot, John.
Upon checking it, it seems that an extension in Firefox has attempted to access internet.
Hence, you're being notified at every startup of Firefox. In this regard, please check & remove, if there are unwanted add ons installed.
Meanwhile, please ensure that the AVG program has the latest patches applied to it.
Open AVG program - click on refresh icon beside virus definitions, at bottom right corner - Restart computer after successful update & check.
If that doesn't help, please try resetting the browser once & let us know the outcome.
