Thunderbird not receiving emails

Hi,  This is another post.  My AVG is still not wanting to receive any incoming emails from Thunderbird. I have the latest AVG version V 19.3 and have try to repair AVG from control panel
I also did a on line chat below and they were not able to help unless it was a paid version.
To receive my emails, I have to turn off email shield or log into my ISP web account
Can anyone suggest anything else?
