Ok, I cannot find the files anymore, do I need to restore them from quarantine first?

I understand the inconvenience caused. It seems to be a false positive. However, could you share a screenshot of the file detection to assist you further? You can post the screenshot here on your topic. Click on 'Answer' & then click on the 'Image' [mountain symbol] & follow the instructions.

Hi,

I recently got a warning saying that 28 .TIFF-files are infected with TIFF:CVE-2018-4903. I created the files myself several years ago, is it really possible that they have become infected or is it a false positive?

Carl, thank you for the screenshot. If the file is legitimate, please submit it to us for analysis- False Positive File Form. Our development team will analyze the file and get back to you via email.

Carl, we have recently fixed few false positives.
Hence, if you have the file in the quarantine, do restore it.
