Hi Stewart,
Thank you for contacting AVG Community Forum. I see you are facing issues with AVG not blocking tracking cookies. I am sorry for the inconvenience. Upon checking your account, I see you have active subscription for AVG Internet Secuirty. AVG Internet Security blocks viruses and malware, keeps your emails secure, protects your personal files, passwords, and webcam from hackers, and lets you shop and bank online without worry. AVG antivirus continuously monitors your PC for vulnerabilities, but the antivirus is only one of the security apps we offer. If an issue which requires a separate subscription is detected, it will offer you the appropriate product. For example, if your network is not protected, AVG will offer our VPN. For outdated drivers or system performance issues, AVG Driver Updater or AVG TuneUp will be offered instead. However, if you wish to disable these offers, please do the following:
Please open AVG [Internet Security/ TuneUp] and click "Menu" > "Settings" > "General" > "Personal Privacy"
Within "Personal Privacy", please deselect options under the "Offers" and "Personalization" sections.
This will stop any further offers of this type.
I hope you will find this information helpful. Should you have any additional questions please let me know. Thanks for understanding!
Why doesn't my AVG block tracking cookies?
I have the paid AVG Internet Protection yet still get messages from AVG telling me I have tracking cookies and to buy another AVG product.
