To downgrade to AVG free version please go to control panel and click uninstall option. Once you clicked on that you will get the prompt downgrade to AVG free version.

I didn't renew my registration for AVG pro for several reasons.The transition into free was very smooth,but there is a problem.I cannot scan.Before I scan I get a request to renew my registration and I don't want to do that now.
It seems I have to remove the installed AVG first and make a new download for Free.Is this correct?
That's my question.
Anyhow I wanted for one of the computers an elder notebook try out Windows Defender since stronger antivirus slows it up too much as it seems.
