The box is checked. Icon is displayed in the tray. Notifications do not work. Auto updates not working. Have to manually update. Confused.

Hello Walt. I would request you to follow the instructions to enable the system tray notifications from AVG.
1) Open AVG.
2) In the top menu click Options, and then click Advanced settings.
3) In the left menu, click Appearance.
4) Tick Display system tray notifications to enable the notifications.
After the last upgrade my tray notifications stopped displaying. Boxes are all checked. So I downloaded the removal tool and did a fresh install of avg2015. Notifications still don't display. Any ideas?

To set your AVG Program for automatic update please follow the below mentioned instructions:
1) Open AVG
2) In the top menu click Options, and then click Advanced settings.
3) In the left menu, click on the (+) symbol of Schedule you will get a drop down below
4) In that drop down click on "Definition Update Schedule"
5)To the right you need click on "Run Automatically (Recommended)
6) Finally click on "Apply" and "Ok" at the bottom.
