Trojan trj.dealware.stealth

My Windows 10 received a pop up advising of an infection with an invitation to phone a free call number or log on to receive info to help me delete this virus. I did not follow this invitation. I couldn't use Microsoft Edge for +/- 24 hours as this pop up kept reappearing. I ran AVG Internet Security but it did not pick up a virus. The pop up has now disappeared - does anyone know if it is dormant waiting to strike at a future time or is my computer clean again? Thanks
