Trouble after updates

Hello Tina,
We apologize for the inconvenience.
This error is generally caused if recent update from AVG is corrupted or failed. We suggest you to remove the AVG program completely from your computer and reinstall them to fix the issue. Please click on this link to download and run the AVG Remover tool
http://download.avg.com/filedir/util/AVG_Remover.exe
Note: Once the removal of AVG is complete, go to C Drive and delete the AVG remover folder. After which you can install AVG.
Thank you.

And now it's THREE times. I have completely uninstalled and reinstalled twice. It works fine until the next automatic update. ???

Twice now I've turned on my computer and found that my AVG is not working and both times it has been after automatic updates. It says "There are no active components". What is going on and how do I fix it?
