Hi. I can get on the internet with Firefox, but not with Chrome or with iTunes. Or some other updates I've had trouble with in the past, can't remember exactly what at the moment.
I tried turning off AVG and seeing if that helped, it didn't. Chrome says "Unable to connect to the proxy server" and iTunes says "iTunes could not connect to the iTunes store. And unknown error occurred (310)"
So should I configure proxy settings in Chrome or Firefox? Since Firefox works and Chrome doesn't?

I didn't know which section this should go in. Not sure if an infection caused this or my antivirus or my Windows firewall or what. I can log on with Firefox (my preferred browser) just fine. Some updates I've had trouble downloading for a while, and I ignored it. Then I deleted iTunes and reinstalled it and at that point could no longer connect to the iTuned store. Then I decided to try out Google Chrome and after I installed it I couldn't connect to the internet with it, which is when I realized my computer has a problem. It seems to me it may be proxy settings but I'm no expert, and it seems all the directions I've looked up online were specific for Internet Explorer, which I don't use. So I thought I'd ask here before bothering a CSR with a newbie problem. Thanks in advance for any advice.
