Trouble setting up email scanning for avg 2015

Sorry - this sounds simple, but I am unable to reinstall.  The uninstall goes well, then it re-installs Zen and then the free version, not the pro.  So I unistalled again and at present have no virus protection.  Where can we go from here?  Please and thank you.

When using the settings provided by my isp to set up the incoming mail scanner I keep getting the message - "An error occurred when saving the configuration.  Data aren't relevant."  I have triple checked the data entered and the only thing I am wondering is the port number Telus supplied is 143, does AVG not recognize only 3 digits?  Or what may satisfy this program?  I am very weary of iit not working and sending me error messages every time it checks emails.  I have followed the online instructions at | AVG to the best of my abilities and it is getting me nowhere.  Thank you - Nate
