We'd request you to boot your PC into safe mode (http://support.avg.com/SupportArticleView?urlname=How-to-reboot-your-computer-into-Safe-Mode) and try to run the AVG Remover tool.

Hi there.  I am having difficulty removing AVG 2014 from my computer.  I uninstalled via windows but when I tried to install the newest AVG I am told 2014 is still on my computer.  I attempted to use the AVG rmoval tool and I get the error "AVG Remover Utility has stopped working". I am running Windows XP.

Please help.
