Trouble Updating from AVG Free 2014 to AVG Free 2015

It seems like some kind of internet issue try use this remover tool and use offline installation package.

I uploaded file david@rossde.com.cab to ftp://ftp.avg.com/incoming/.  I do NOT use Internet Explorer; instead, I used an FTP client application.  The file is a CAB file as created by the failed installation process.

I downloaded the AVG Free 2015 full installer avg_free_x64_all_2015_5315a8160.exe.  When I tried executing it, it did not give me the option to uninstall AVG Free 2014.  Then it stopped with an error message about not being able to complete the installation.  I saved the log. 

I tried removing what was installed of AVG Free 2015.  That did not work.  I tried running the special AVG remover AVG_Remover_en.exe, but that too failed.  I tried reinstalling AVG Free 2014, but that failed with a message that I already had a later version installed. 

On trying to run avg_free_x64_all_2015_5315a8160.exe again, I finally got the window of options.  I selected Repair.  It now seems that AVG Free 2015 is installed, but I am not sure that it is complete. 

Do you want the log?  If so, how do I submit it?

That worked.  I was able to do a "smooth" installation of AVG Free 2015 (15.0.0.5315) with no error messages or other problems. 

Now, I want to install AVG Free 2015 on my wife's PC.  She still has Windows XP, so I would be using avg_free_x86_all_2015_5315a8160.exe.  Is there a removal tool to remove her existing AVG Free 2014?
