Thank you for your reply! It happens with Etsy and Metrocast. And it happens with Chrome or Firefox. I'm hoping this can be resolved quickly. AVG just notified me this morning that my IP address is out there for anyone to see…
Hi Sharon,
This isn't the experience we want you to have. We'd like to look into this & help you.
Please clarify the type of websites such as online shopping, banking, streaming sites, with which you're experiencing issue.
Also, let us know whether this happens with a specific browser or irrespective of browsers.
I have used successfully for almost one full year AVG's VPN. At almost the end of the first year of use, my computer really started to act up. It wouldn't allow my access to some of my most used websites. I finally tried turning my VPN off and clearing the cache, which would allow me access to those websites. However, it wasn't long before I would have to go through this same frustrating and time consuming process…turn off VPN, clear cache, try again. Eventually, it got to the point that after going through this process, I still was denied access to my websites. It got so frustrating and time consuming that I thought 'this just can't be happening' so I took the computer to my neighborhood IT person. He verified it was the AVG VPN. Can anyone explain what happened after almost a year using this and what I can do to fix it now? I would be most appreciative! ~Sincerely, Sharon
Thank you for clarifying, Sharon. From your message, we see that you're experiencing issues with online shopping, biling websites.
Certain streaming services, banking, shopping websites has taken counter measures to block its users from accessing its content through Secure VPN servers. While we do continue to add new servers and ip addresses, they are quite fast to identify the same.
However, you can either try connecting to the streaming servers (locations) that are available in Secure VPN or exclude selected servers from AVG Secure VPN.
Regarding the IP address message, it seems that AVG Secure VPN awaits reactivation. To ensure this, share us the screenshot of it for better clarity.
