Troubleshooting email client warnings about invalid server certificates

Hi David,

We're glad to look into this & help you.
Initially, we appreciate your efforts in making use of our help articles.
Please share us the screenshots of the error message that you receive & page that you get after clicking on Choose beside signing certificate (step 8) while attempting to import certificate.
Also, let us know the operating system, version of AVG that is installed on your computer (Open AVG - Menu - About) & clarify whether it is a free or paid license.

I use Outlook 2019.  Suddenly today I'm getting a new error, "The server you are connected to is using a security certificate that cannot be verified".  This appears to be related to an AVG certificate.  Following instructions at How to troubleshoot email client warnings about invalid server certificates | AVG I download a certificate to my desktop and proceed to the second set of instructions to import into Outlook.  When I get to step 8 I get the message, "No certificate available" rather than the "More choices" option expected.  Apparently the downloaded cert can't be seen.  Any suggestions?

Dinesh, Thanks for responding.  I'm running Windows 10 Pro.  The problem appears to have resolved itself.  After I posted my query I noticed AVG prompting me to install an Upgrade (22.10.3258 (build 22.10.7633.439).  After installing and rebooting the certificate error no longer appears when I open Outlook.  Maybe a cert was out of date and a new one was included with the upgrade?  Still doesn't explain why the Select a Certificate window couldn't see the new cert I downloaded per the help article.  We can consider this issue resolved.

Thank you for writing us back, David.
