Trying to download free AVG antivirus but can't get past screen offering Google Chrome download

I have AVG antivirus plus AVG TuneUp and AVG secure VPN on my old laptop. I want to add my new HP laptop too but when I go to download the antivirus I get to a screen that gives me an "option" to accept a download of Google Chrome. My problems are that (a) I cannot find any way not to accept Google Chrome and (b) even if I decided to accept it so I can proceed (and uninstall it later) I can't find any "accept" button. The only thing I can do is close out of AVG. I've tried about  3 times and same every time.

Hi Margot,

This isn't the usual behavior of AVG installer.
Please clarify whether you're referring to AVG Secure browser as Google chrome.
For better clarity, share us the screenshot of the page in which the installer wizard is stuck.
