Trying to update by free AVG Antivirus

We understand how something like this can really try your patience. Please be informed that we have launched our 2016 version. Hence we recommend you to install the latest version of AVG Antivirus Free to fix the issue. Before installing the latest version please uninstall all AVG product in your pc and then install the latest version.
To run AVG remover tool for AVG Antivirus please follow the below steps :
Please click on the below link to download remover tool
http://aa-download.avg.com/filedir/util/AVG_Remover.exe
Accept the license agreement and then choose AVG Internet Security and remove it.
NOTE: Once the AVG Remover Tool has done with its process. Please go to the drive where you installed this tool and look for a folder named as "AVG Remover" and I request you to delete it manually.

I'm having trouble trying to restore/update my free AVG AntiVirus. I got this code 0xe001003d and it states a computer udate is needed but when I click on update i get this response. Could not finish automatic state repair we weren't able to fix one or more components?? Please help
