I am glad to inform that this issue has been fixed now. I have sent an email containing instructions to get connected with our remote assistance team from the problem PC. They'd be glad to apply the fix and resolve this issue.
Yes, I was promised that the damage caused by version 20, leaving me unable to open MS Office & QuickBooks files, will be resolved.
I managed to get Windows 10 home PC up and running again last night by running a system restore and repairing programs through Control Panel menus, but one of my Windows 8 works machines seems irreparable by the same route. I've even deleted and re-installed Office, but I still can't access files.
Thankfully my other Windows 8 works PC never got updated and I made sure that it didn't by uninstalling Tune Up 19.
We need some help please AVG team.
