Thanks for your prompt response. I have not replied right away, because I tried to follow your advice. I have uninstalled TunaUP and installed it again. Unfortunately, I do not see any improvement. What is worse, my VPN stopped working - VPN ran into a technical problem - restart service: to no avail.
I have installed a few AVG programmes: Ultimate, VPN, Password protection, AntiTrack and TuneUp.
Do they interfere with each other?
Besides, if I have "the ULTIMATE" why would I need extra stuff, anyway?
Hoping for a further, more useful advice.

After installing AVG TuneUp program it takes good 20 minutes for my computer to become operational. Instead of speeding up, it slowed it down - quite badly.
What's wrong with it; how can I fix it - other than uninstall TuneUp? Is there a way to disable it, without uninstalling?

This isn't the usual behavior of AVG program. Let us work towards fixing the issue.
Uninstall and reinstall the AVG TuneUp and check if the PC is still slow.

Please note that AVG Ultimate is the name of the bundle package but the actual products included in it are AVG Internet Security, AVG Secure VPN, AVG TuneUp and AVG AntiTrack for Windows devices.
