TuneUp | DNS Queries

Hello SW. Thank you for your patience and I apologize for the delayed response. My name is Shawn and I am writing to you on behalf of the AVG Senior Support team.

Specific to your concern, I suspect a DNS disruption with resolving SRV/TXT records, per your shared screenshot (SERVFAIL).

Simply summarized, NOS is used as a part of GMS push notifications and it resolves in the order of SRV, TXT and then fallback. It will repeat upon failure.

To resolve this disruption, to check if these records are not being blocked in your network.

I trust this explanation and information help clarify your concern. Regards, Shawn

This has been discussed already last year etc… but doesn't have to bechnaged

I'm using only tuneup (latest downloadable version) with a 10 device subscription.

Tuneup is doing mass queries to fallback.nos-avg.cz and also seeing lots of  srv  _nos._tcp.nos-avg.cz and   txt _nos._tcp.nos-avg.cz entries…
Also avast queries…

What's the purpose of these queries in a product like tuneup utilities? … Any settings inside tuneup are deactivated.
