Hi Andy,
It is not recommended to turn off threat popup notifications.
If you are getting repeated threat popup notification then we have to check why it is occurring.
To do that, we request you to create your own post on AVG community or contact our chat team using this https://support.avg.com/support_tech_chat link.
How do I turn off notifications on a Mac
Hi Linda,
We're glad to help you with the info.
As we're uncertain about the notification that you're looking to disable, would you be so kind to share us the screenshot of it?
Also, let us know whether you're using AVG Free Antivirus on your MAC.
OK. It's taken two long drawn out chats with support to finally get the answer that it can't be done. I'll try an alternative.

I also have this issue - and the answer (for me) is - all popup dialogs. Every time Internet Security quarantines a threat, it proudly pops up a dialog to tell me it's done it - and there doesn't seem to be any way to turn them off. I do not need to see these - I trust that AVG is doing its job - and they're intrusive and annoying. I am on the paid version - I have a two year subscription.
I'm getting notifications because AVG is doing its job, and identifying and quarantining threats in emails as they arrive. As to why I get emails with such things in - well - if I didn't, I probably wouldn't need AVG.
I don't want to appear rude, and I do appreciate the swiftness of your response, but I really am not bothered about whether it's recommended or not. I want to turn them off. Is this possible? If so, how do I do it?
