Two charges made to my account for one transaction

Hello, Cecilia.
It's unfortunate that you have been charged twice. Your AVG Internet Security 1 computer (2 years) license was automatically renewed on 30th April 2018 for another 2 years. On 1st May 2018, you purchased a new AVG Internet Security - Unlimited (2 years subscription). It could be because you are unaware of the automatic renewal.

We have already received a refund request from you for the second purchase. Our refund team will process it and get back to you via email with a confirmation. Appreciate your patience.

I renewed my Protection on 1st May and find I have been billed for two sums: £72 99 on my debit card 2nd May;  and £79.99 on my credit card 1st May. 
Please come back to me with an explanation as soon as possible as this has put me in a difficult financial position
