Ui failed to start

Hello again!  I ran clear and remover…and then did a manual check of multiple files to get rid of everything.  Then I did a final install…however this time I did not do a custom install and put the programs on my larger D Drive.  I kept everything on the small OS drive.  I rebooted my comptuer five times now…no failures.  I hope it stays that way…

My reconmendation going forward for you is to not allow Internet Security to do a custom install.  The Tune Up program never failed, just the Internet Security Suite.  I'd also recommend manual deletion, because in safe mode the clear program did not remove anything permanently…it only went away after I threw it in the trash and emptied it.

Cheers…and I hope this keeps running.

Hello

AVG Ulitmate, the entire protection suite says failed to load.  Reinstalls also failed to survive a reboot.

I did the clear and everything else the article mentions.

So was there are bad update and bug in the program?  Something we can work around?  Or do we need to wait on an update to the update?

Eric

Ok I reinstalled, removed items, ran clear in safe mode…it happened again, again and again.  I am about through with this program.  Now lost an entire day making sure I current with AV definitions.  Something is "too hard" to fix.

I did get help last night.  On reboot this AM the same error returned.

Screen Shot Failure

Was there an update to windows Defender which I cannot control?  It will not let me turn it off permanently anymore…from what I can see.

Glad to hear that, Eric. If you need anything else, do not hesitate to let us know.

Eric,
I really appreciate your effort in trying to resolve this issue and I'm sorry to hear about your time.
Let me know if you have run AVG Remover tool (it's different from AVG Clear tool). If no, click here to download it > run the downloaded file > select AVG protection > remove.
After the computer reboot, please click here for the instruction to download/install/activate AVG Internet Security on your computer.
Regards,
Alok.
