Ultimate not installing on XP

Hi

Thanks for the response Ranjani. I found that the AVG removal did the trick as I had some outdated AVG stuff on my old desktop running XP OS with SP3. I have now downloaded Ultimate and all seems to be working OK.

Clifford,

We understand your concern, we apologize for the difficulties. Kindly follow the below suggested steps to fix the issue. Click on this link to run Reset Access tool: http://files-download.avg.com/filedir/util/AVG_ResetAccess.exe  and refer this article to uninstall http://avgclick.me/UninstallAVGAV your AVG program.

Kindly download your AVG remover and run it, then go to C: -> AVG Remover -> Bin -> pctremover.exe and avgfmwremover.exe (do not restart your device if prompted), then run avgremover.exe (it will automatically reboot your device).

Then please remove the AVG folders manually as suggested below. Go to Run window (press windows key and R key simultaneously) and type the following comments to delete the folders.

Cannot totally get rid of AVG 2015 or other old AVG protection

Clifford,
Pleased to see that you appear to be sorted now. Thanks for returning to the Community & posting. We appreciate all your efforts and patience. Please feel free to get back to us for any issues with AVG. We work round the clock, thank you!

Clifford, Also assume that you have OS Win XP Service Pack SP3 which is now the minimum requirement for installing AVG?.
