I feel exactly the same as Jerome Young - I bought AVG Ultimate believing it did indeed supply an Ultimate product by combining all AVG could offer - a con!! Make your offers simple and transparent, or lose your customers. Very angry a complete swindle!
Someone at support told me I could disable this totally innacurate message about connection security BUT on the AVG screen I get there is NO menu option
I think this particular pop up is very, very misleading and immoral. It shows no indication that it is advertising and purports to have found ‘4 privacy issues’ and suggests that these can be resolved. And hey-ho what happens - it goes to a screen for you to buy secure vpn even though you might already have bought it.
The pop up has done no checking whatsoever.
A very poor marketing strategy but AVG obviously do not care as this issue has been around for some time.
it does make you wonder if AVG can’t get this right what does it say about the quality of the rest of their software?
Hello Jerome,
We are really sorry for the way you feel. This is not we want our customers to experience.
AVG Ultimate does include the features of AVG Internet Security and AVG PC TuneUp for multiple windows PC, android and Mac's.
Many of our users find these offers for other AVG products useful, hence the campaign message appearing on the program. The frequency of pop ups can be controlled directly from the app or can be even turned off (please open AVG Internet Security > Menu > Settings > General > Personal Privacy - Uncheck 'Show pop up offers for AVG products & 3rd party products' - Ok).
Feel free to contact us if you need any further help.

I recently switched Internet Security software from one that I've used for several years. Why is it that, even though this product is identified as AVG Ultimate, I'm constantly getting reminders that my IP address is showing along with other issues. The definition of "ultimate" is the best achievable or imaginable of its kind. Well, I'm not prepared to pay another $36 to $48 (depending on length of subscription) to get these additional issues resolved. I'm very disappointed in your product for this reason and, at the end of my year, will be going to a different internet security software. Oh, and I will be informing my friends and colleagues about your bait-and-switch tactics.

Hi David,
It seems that an older version of AVG is installed on your computer.
Would you be so kind to share us the screenshot (http://avgclick.me/getscreenshot) of the AVG interface for better clarity?
Hello John,
Let us explain this clearly.
As we have mentioned already, it's a campaign popup for AVG Secure VPN.
This notification will not appear if you have already installed and activated AVG Secure VPN.
Make sure that you have activated AVG Secure VPN on your device.
If you have already activated it but issue persists, share the screenshot of both user interface to look into it.
