If you have AVG free installed, then you need not have to install AVG Internet Security again, we can activate this free version to pro version.
Open AVG AntiVirus free installed, click on "My AVG->My Subscriptions". From here login to your AVG MyAccount and the AVG program will get activated to pro version.

I purchased AVG Internet Security on line and cannot install it to activate it. I have followed the steps but nothing is happening except a bar running back and forth on the pop up thing. I am also running free AVG. I have been reading posts and hope that we do not regret our purchase? How do I get this to work?

I think on the email confirming purchase it should state that if you already have the free AVG then this is what you do… Thanks for your response and help. It appears to be installed now…
