If is it a free version of AVG you are trying to install, please check for any conflicting anti virus software and uninstall them. Then run the AVG remover tool to remove all the remnants of the failed installation and re install AVG using offline installation file based on your OS ( 32 bit or 64 bit).
To run remover tool, please visit http://www.avg.com/tools#tba2 and click on "AVG Remover" to download the remover tool and run it on your PC. It will ask you to select which product you would like to uninstall. Please select "AVG Protection" and follow the setup instructions to uninstall AVG. Once the tool is run, your PC will automatically reboots. After the restart, please check if a folder with name AVG Remover is created under C:\ and remove it.

i am trying to run the avg antivirus - avg zen on my xp system but each time i try to run the "protection " tab it fails…i get 0xc0070643 error.
what can be the problem ?
