Unfortunately, it has not worked for me. Does it need to update twice?
Hello Jeremiah,

Pretty much what the title says. I turned on my machine and I couldn't connect to the internet. Spent time with the usual suspects. Restart router, check driver, clear DNS etc but nothing. Machine said I was connected to the internet but nothing was happening. Then I read a article that suggested I turn off my anti virus and said why not, sometimes it gets in the way with games, and soon as I did, I got connected.
Why? Just why? I spent a frustrating 45 minutes because AVG was blocking my internet?
For information: Trouble shooting service on my computer either couldn't diagnose the problem, or told me my DNS server was incorrect.
Is there a way to avoid this in the future? I've liked AVG as a product for a number of years now and I'd like to stay with them, but if its going to keep doing this kinda non-sense then It'll be time to drop it.
Thank you, that seems to have done it !
I have the same problem, it's so frustrating. I have done as instructed above and can see that I am up to date in 'update' ver 210206-0 and ver 20.10.3157 but I still can't access the internet.
help please.
