I have set up a new PC some weeks ago and here is the problem I face since then.
As soon as AVG Internet Security is installed and completely enabled, it is impossible to access to mapped drives of the PC from another PC connected on the same network (same workgroup). Ping on the IP address and to the hostname works fine !?
The only trick I have found to let it work is to disable the firewall of AVG (and replace it by the one of Windows 10).
I appreciate your efforts, Philippe. Let us work together to sort out it.
We request you to change AVG Firewall network profile to private (open AVG Internet Security > menu > settings > components > firewall > customize > network profile > change all the network public to private, please go to Firewall customize settings again > scroll down > click on system rules > enable all the system rules if it's not configured, please click OK and check if that fixes the issue.
Please repair your AVG Internet Security and check if you're able to view AVG toolbar.
Phil, Glad to hear that everything is fine now. By default, fresh installation will set those settings to Public. We recommend our users to connect via Private network for security purposes. We made these changes from AVG 2016 & higher.
