Occurs when i move the experimental option within Secure VPN from 'auto' to to 'Mimic'. When i move the option to 'Mimic' , internet stops working and Secure VPN advises me to connect to the internet, even though my network adapter is enabled and working. Did all the above and reimaged my machine and still the same issue. Also tried updating the drivers fpr the WIntun adapter, and even disablint thew TAP adapter to no availail.
Unable to connect to the VPN.
There was no IP on the Wintun adapter.
I have uninstalled AVG Secure VPN. I later disabled the TAP adapter and the Wintun adapter. On the Wintun adapter I entered a mask and gave an IP address of 1.1.1.1. I thought that reinstalling could turn on its adapters. Now I don't know if they are enabled. I don't know if there is any IP given. Windows wants something to be entered. I have to enable, right?
Interesting fact, after installation there is no AVG TAP Adapter!!! Wintun has been. It is turned off. I turned it on. This produced a message describing the adapter: "Network cable disconnected". I changed on the "General" tab in the Properties of the virtual adapter to have DNS and IP address selected automatically. The message about the cable is still there.
The problem remains: "Unable to connect to VPN."
The failure may have been caused by a conflict with Kaspersky Total Security VPN. I uninstalled KTS completely with everything. I have Windows Defender enabled. I am waiting for you guys to fix it for me. You will give guidance on what to click.

Did all the above that Jan did, and even reimaged my machine and still have the same issue. Also tried disabling the TAP adapter to see if there was any difference to no avail. Finally also reimaged my machine without restoring any previous data ( to avoid bringing any issues from an OS / app perspectve ) and issues persist.
