I prefer to update manually so that the update does not delay other current tasks I'm performing. But, after a recent update of AVG Free, it appears that I am no longer able to disable Definition Update Schedule by going to Options - Advanced Settings - Schedules - Definition Update Schedule and unchecking Enable this task. When I do so, and then click Apply, it automatically re-checks Enable this task. I used to be able to schedule updates while I was sleeping but selecting the Schedule running radio button, but that functionality was removed a while back, which is when I began updating manually.
Anyone have a solution to this issue, other than upgrading to paid AVG, instead of AVG Free?
Hi Gerry,
We understand your concern, we request you to remove the AVG Anti-Virus FREE completely and reinstall it once and then check the issue. If issue persists, please attach us the screenshot http://avgclick.me/getscreenshot .
