I am sorry for the inconvenience. I will help you to install the latest version. Please follow the steps in this article http://support.avg.com/SupportArticleView?urlname=How-to-uninstall-AVG to run the AVG remover tool to remove the old version. Then download and run AVG Clear tool: https://share.avg.com/steam/PSP/AVG2017/AVG_Clear.exe . This tool will help with removing antivirus component of AVG 2017 and its traces. Open tool User Account control - click "Yes" Windows safe mode - click "No" (we cannot recommend using the tool in safe mode, because there is a problem with comparability) Choose installed version (AVG Free, AVG Internet Security) Click "Uninstall" Click "Restart computer".

I used a functional uninstall program to remove AVG in order to install a later version.
I am now unable to install the newer edition nor remove the remnants of the 2015 edition.
Please help as it would appear thatI am unprotected.
