Unable to install AVG 2015 - Driver Error

OK David, Your info will be analysed by the AVG Community Support (http://forums.avg.com/ww-en/avg-forums?sec=thread&act=show&id=190509) in Brno @ their earliest convenience but please bear in mind that it's now the weekend.

I had yesterday exactly the same problem as  Mr. Ronald Asche with the difference that all the removers  I downloaded from AVG's website crashed and didn't remove anything. Deleting all AVG traces with regedit did not help matters. I happened to notice by pure luck that some windows services normally running were stopped, namely BFE (Motor de Filtrado de Base in Spanish, I believe this is the executable: C:\Windows\system32\svchost.exe -k LocalServiceNoNetwork. I started and set it for Automatic start, rebooted the computer and the 2015 update run without problems (didn't try to remove whaever was left from the installed AVG version, maybe I should have…)
I have no clue as for that service being stopped, though.

Will do. I will look for a response after the weekend.

did you ever get an answer because i'm having the same problem

None of hte suggestions on the first link are relative to the issue. There seems to be no way to attach files however to provide the diagnostic file.

It appears that this is a very real and pervasive problem with AVG 2015. I first checked with Tech support (Chat online) and was told by John the only way around this was to PAY $19.95 and have AVG log into my computer and install to which I told him No Way. After which he put through an order for a 3 user PC Tune up and 3 install support orders, which I cancelled and warned my credit card company to tag as fraud, as well as E-Mailing Interpol with the chat and all information on this clown.
After getting a ticket number and talking to a tech support person and trying to load in safe mode, I was told to send in an error report which I did.
I then proceeded to trace the software code during the install only to find that AVG's own removal software was the root cause of this problem, not MS Windows or MSCI.
Mke sure you have your license number recorded; then download the free version of and Use IO Bit "Full Uninstall" and remove all AVG Software, check to make sure all software is removed, including within C;\Windows\Shared,
Use Regedit and search for AVG and remove all entries related to the software, NOT the CPU or Computer. Restart your computer without the AVG software.

After a reboot, I was able to load AVG 2015, enter my license number and use the new software.

This is an issue with the Program Loader Software Coding, and has been around since AVG 2011; though it seems that it has gotten worse with each new version.
Since it is illegal for me to decomile this poorly coded loader, it will remain a problem for AVG who by far has a great anti-virus program that "protects itself from itself" during an upgrade.

I have tried countless times to install AVG 2015 on one of my computers. The error I get every time is below. It started when I tried to updated from 2014. So far I've tried the AVG remover (which always just crashes), so I've also manually removed all files with AVG in the name, including one in the drivers folder, all registry entries with AVG in them that related to AVG, including some legacy entries. I've tried installing in Safe Mode, and still nothing works. I'm at a loss at what else to try, and right now I'm having to use AdAware as an alternative. Any idea how to get past this error?

Severity: Error
Error code: 0xC0070643
Error message: General Internal error.
Aditional message: MSI Engine: Failed to install the product.
@AVGMSI_Error27046
Driver installation failed (0XE0010015)
Context: AVG product installation, MSI action failed

I am happy to see that your issue is resolved.
Thanks for posting solution back.
