Unable to Install (or Uninstall?) AVG

Hello Rod,
We apologize for the inconvenience caused.
We understand how something like this can really try your patience.
May I know the name of the AVG product in which you experiencing this issue?
Are you using free or paid version of AVG Product?
Thank you.

So this has been an ongoing trainwreck for the last couple of hours...
Also forgive the odd spacing here and there (if present). I typed this up in Notepad first, and when pasted, this website's text field formats it for whatever reason...

AVG out of the blue said that it did not recognize my license key. I re-entered the latest license key I had (from 2013), which AVG recognized as being in a valid format, but rejected it.

Assuming that my license was up, I uninstalled it so I could install the free version. During uninstallation, it displayed an error saying that it was unable to uninstall (I did not note the error code unfortunately). Despite this, all AVG icons disappeared, and it was no longer in the Windows Add/Remove Programs list.

I have downloaded many different free versions of AVG from AVG's website, and all fail to install. During installation, error code "0xE0018D32" is always received.

I followed the typical knowledge base instructions for this issue, linked here: https://support.avg.com/answers?id=906b0000000blj2AAA

I ran the AVG removal tool, and installed and ran the 64-bit offline installer (I'm running 64-bit Win7 Professional).

After installation, AVG now displays the following two errors when run:

--------------------
"Following AVG processes failed:

-avgnsa.exe

Would you like to send the report to AVG for analysis?"
--------------------

--------------------
"Following AVG processes failed:
-avgidsagent.exe

Would you like to send the report to AVG for analysis?"
--------------------

Clicking Yes on either of these just yields the same error again and again.

In addition, AVG is displaying status "You are not fully protected!", and only the Email and Firewall components are running; Computer, Web, and Identity are not running, and Web also requires updates.

Clicking the Fix Now button yields the following error:

--------------------
"Could not finish automatic state repair.
We weren't able to fix one or more components.
Go online to learn more about this issue."
--------------------
Clicking the link just takes you to the main support page.

Clicking Update Now yields error "Update failed. General error."

At this point, the AVG Removal tool only detects TuneUp Utilities (I have "TuneUp Utilities 2014 from AVG" installed). It also, detects "AVG Internet Security", despite "AVG Protection" being what is installed.

I've even run TuneUp's own Registry Cleaner between every step of this process.

I'm at a loss here. Any additional help would be greatly appreciated, as I'm only running Windows Defender as a safety net at the moment.

I don't want to remove TuneUp, as it's very unlikely to be interfering with AVG's installation, and
I also don't want to risk TuneUp failing as well, if its installation & activation works anything like AVG's.
