I have tried that (before and after your post) but it does not seem to do anything. My latest virus definitions are from 5 hours ago (1200 UK time) but the software still wont update.

We would request you to click on 'Refresh' button next to 'Virus definitions' to update the Virus definition and once it gets completed. Please click on the 'update' button in the same window to update the AVG Internet Security unlimited program.

My Internet security software will not install the update from the GUI. It says "Already up to date (Current version 17.3.3011)"
I am using Windows 10 on a surface book. My other Win 10 laptop has loaded the new update (17.4.3014).
This has been happening for the last few days since I tried the first time to update the software.
Any help and advice really appreciated.

We are sorry that you are facing issue in updating AVG Internet Security unlimited in your PC. Please run AVG Clear tool to remove AVG traces using the below instructions.
1 Use the link https://share.avg.com/steam/PSP/AVG2017/AVG_Clear.exe to run the AVG Clear tool.
2 Open the AVG Clear tool, click Yes in the User Account control dialog.
3 Click No in the Windows safe mode dialog.
4 Select the installed version of AVG and also check the box 'Uninstall AVG Zen'. Then click Uninstall, and Restart computer.
