Unable to open web sites comes up as not secure

My renewed subscription was unable to download as I have changed pc to a mac
After going onto avg support it advised me to download the free anti virus
i now am unable to open most web sites I regularly use as the come up insecure
if problem cannot b solved I need to remove the anti virus
