You can use this link to run the AVG removal tool http://download.avg.com/filedir/util/AVG_Remover.exe and once you remove AVG please go to the C drive and delete the "AVG Remover" folder. After which you can reinstall AVG.

I logged on to my computer this morning and a screen for my AVG came up that said "AVG License Error - AVG is not able to recognize your license number, please click on re-enter and enter your license number again. If it does not resolve the issue please reinstall AVG." Well it did NOT resolve the issue, but as I figure, you have to uninstall the program before you can reinstall it. This is where I'm having the problem. It will not let me uninstall it from my computer, please advise. Thanks!!
