We can certainly take a look into this. May I know what exactly happen when you try to resolve/quarantine AVG detection?
If possible, please share a screenshot of the AVG detection with "see details" page to proceed further.

I have done an AVG virus scan.
The scan is unable to resolve one file that is infected with Win32:Malware-gen
Please advise: How do I resolve/quarantine it?

I restarted the laptop, re-ran the virus scan and it is still there, unresolved.

For the next step, to clarify, are you saying I need to attach the infected file with a message to AVG analysis?
