Greetings,
This isn't the experience we want you to have. We'll certainly look into this & help you.
Please let us know the version of your MAC, AVG & Thunderbird.
If possible, share us the screenshot of the message that you receive when Email/Web Shield is enabled.
Since about the start of July, and whatever AVG Antivirus version update was delivered on this date, I find that my e-mail client (Thunderbird) can only retrieve new e-mails if I disable the Web/E-mail shield of AVG Antivirus for Mac.
If I leave it on then I get a persistent 'You have exceeded the maximum number of IMAP connections allowed'. So right now I'm only able to use my e-mail client without any form of virus protection. Could someone advise the fix or when this will be corrected in any future versions because it defeats the purpose of antivirus software if it's incompatible with the most basic of online applications such as e-mail clients.
