Unable to run, uninstall or install AVG, Macos 11.6

I'm sorry to hear this. Please follow the below steps to uninstall AVG AntiVirus on your Mac computer.

We request you to follow this article to remove AVG AntiVirus from your Mac.

If the issue still persists, please follow the below steps to delete AVG traces manually.

1) Open Finder
2) In menu bar select GO > GO TO FOLDER
3) Type: /Library/Application Support/
4) Locate and delete the AVGAntivirus folder manually (Restart your mac).

I have been trying to delete AVG by your script, but going to the Go- Application- double click on AVG Icon does nothing. I have the run timer showing so it must be running. I have tried a new version so see If I can do a repair, but the install will not run as previous version installed. Any Ideas on what I can do next?

Hi Nisha, Thank you very much for your prompt reply to my problem. I did what you suggested, but I also had to delete the AVGHub Folder as well. I also had to remove two AVG entries in my start list. Now all well, so many thanks.
