Now check if you're facing the same issue.
Each time I try to save changes to an edited existing xl spreadsheet windows says it is read only. I try a different file name and get another error message with a help tag. When I open the help tag I get this message...
"When saving a file, a sharing violation can be caused by the way an antivirus application interacts with Microsoft Office.
Check with your antivirus provider to make sure that the current version of the application, including updates, is installed. The antivirus provider might also have information or solutions for sharing violation issues."
How can this be reversed?
John,
Thank you for letting me know that your issue has been resolved.
I suggest you to Add the Application in "Allow an App" option.
Please check Blocked Apps and remove the Microsoft Office/Excel Application from Blocked Apps and Add the Application in "Allow an App" List.
You can find the above options in AVG Internet Security>Hackers Protection>Ransomware>Open.
