Hello Daniel,
I regret for the inconvenience caused. Please press and hold the power button for 10 to 15 seconds and then restart in safe mode with networking. In safe mode completely remove all the traces of AVG and then restart the computer and check if you are able to access your computer in normal mode.
Thank you for the tip.
I tried both CD and USB. Unfortunately, none of them work. I always receive an error message "The selected boot device failed. Press <Enter> to continue". And when I tried choosing the USB for booting manually in the Boot Manager, the USB flash drive seemed to be empty.
Hello Daniel,
I appreciate your patience and efforts so far. I would recommend you running Windows repair from the installation media. If that doesn't help, I would request you to contact Microsoft for further assistance.
Hello everybody,
(I am posting my question again because of some mysterious problems with formatting.)
I have been having troubles with my computer since the last AVG Internet security update.
I am unable to turn my computer on properly. Just the Windows automatic repair screen appears and it ends up with the "Your PC did not start correctly" error message.
After a long effort I succeeded and started the PC. I booted into the safe mode. I went through Troubleshoot->Advanced options->Startup settings and after restart I chose the option 8 "Disable early-launch anti-malware protection".
After that I could use the computer until the first restart.
I renamed the ".sys" files to ".old" as mentioned in some older topic. It did not help.
I restarted my computer and uninstalled the AVG completely. It did not help.
I restarted the computer, installed the AVG again and disabled the "Boot-time scan". It did not help.
I still have the same problem with the Windows automatic repair.
We sent a question to AVG technical support, but they did not even answer the message…
Is there any possible solution I can do before I will have to reinstall whole Windows?
My computer: HP Pavilion 15; OS: Windows 10; AVG Internet security with paid license.
Thank you!
Daniel

Hello Karthikeyan,
thank you for your advise. Unfortunately, it did not help.
The Windows automatic repair does not let me pass. Therefore, I can not restart the computer in safe mode with networking.
The only way I can turn the computer on is to choose to disable early-launch anti-malware protection, but, as I mentioned before, it did not bring any improvement.
