Unable to Uninstall AVG AntiVirus

I am having problems connecting to my home internet via Ethernet and WiFi. Therefore, I am trying to uninstall my virus protection to see if I can resolve the problems. I am unable to uninstall AVG Antivirus. I have tried the following:

  1. Uninstall from Windows Settings -- I receive the following error message: "Setup is already running. Please try to start the setup later"  View Log option -- Nothing appears 
  2. Downloaded and ran both AVG_Clear and AVG_Remover. Both hang up on the loading screen. I left them run for almost 1hr with no progress.
Note that I currently do not have Internet access on my desktop computer as I am unable to connect.

Please let me know if there are other options.
