I have 9 infections of IR Hook and cannot update my AVG Protection.
Trying to access the AVG website about IR Hook states that the page is no longer available.
The fix mypc website gives a method to remove IR Hook and was expecting AVG to have a solution

Please note that AVG detects all rootkits, even those that are necessary for correct function of legitimate applications and are not malicious. Sometimes, rootkits are used as drivers or they are a part of correct applications. From the screenshots you provided, we'd like to confirm that the rootkits detected are legitimate and not harmful.
We'd also like to inform that you are using an older version of AVG Internet Security with out of date virus definitions and we strongly recommend you to upgrade to latest version.
