We are sorry to hear that you are unable to uninstall AVG from your computer. You can click on this link for the steps to run AVG Clear tool Download and run AVG Clear tool: https://share.avg.com/steam/PSP/AVG2017/AVG_Clear.exe. This tool will help with removing antivirus component of AVG 2017 and its traces.
Open tool
User Account control - click "Yes"
Windows safe mode - click "No" (we cannot recommend use the tool in safe mode, because there is a problem with compability)
Choose installed version (AVG Free, AVG Internet Security)
Click "Uninstall"
Click "Restart computer"

After restart, run AVG Remover and remove all other supported products and remnants of AVG (ZEN, Framework,…).
Open AVG_Remover.exe (http://download.avg.com/filedir/util/AVG_Remover.exe)
User Account control - click "Yes"
Click "CONTINUE"
Select all products, and click "Remove"
Click "Restart" and restart PC
If is displayed dialog window (Open file – Security Warning) after restart, click "Run" and let AVG Remover remove traces
If is AVG Remover asking for restart PC, restart PC again
Note: Once the removal of AVG is complete, go to C Drive and delete the AVG remover folder. After which you can install AVG.

I have used AVG Free version for years - I had a 30 day trial for the upgraded version to see if it necessary to my use. When it expired and I tried to use the free version again but am told that I have to now buy the upgrade! I also have AVG Tune up (which I pay for) which I am able to use. I have tried to uninstall the AVG free & reinstall again but it will not allow to do this - any ideas?
