Unauthorised bill charge

I was an AVG customer years ago, but never renewed.

My credit card statement shows an unauthorised charge of US$99.99 which was posted on August 3, 2018.  When I tried to access support to have it removed, I was unable to because I could not access my old account details.  I subsequently created a new account in order to access any forum supported by AVG.

I would appreciate if this charge is immediately removed from my account.  I don't know what it is for, but I know that I did not order it.

You would have to research my old account to find this charge.  Whatever you have to do; kindly do and correct this error.

This order was placed because you agreed to automatic extensions of your Subscription Period when you originally purchased your AVG product. We can assure you that we have not processed any unauthorized payments from your card or account.

We sent an email notification 30 days prior to the order being placed to let you know in advance that this payment was due. This also contained information on how to cancel your Subscription.

I have submitted a refund request on your behalf. You will receive a refund confirmation email soon.
