It was an authorization charge to verify the validity of your card but the amount will be reversed. It is just a payment authorization, money are not technically taken away.

I recently subscribed to the free trial of the AVG PC Tune Up software a few days ago.

I just checked my bank account and see a transaction of $0.99 for DigitalRiver Ireland. Is this linked to the ACG PC TuneUP? Why was I charged? It was supposed to be a free trial and I would be charged after the free trial.

Please explain.
