Unauthorized AVG renewal charged

You have been charged for the automatic renewal of AVG TuneUp - Unlimited (30 day trial) because you agreed to automatic extension of your subscription when you originally signed up for the trial subscription. We can assure you that we have not processed any unauthorized payments from your card or account.

We sent an email notification 10 days prior to the order being placed to let you know in advance that this payment was due. This also contained information on how to cancel your Subscription.

We have initiated refund for this renewal order. Once we finish our internal refund procedure, the transaction will be processed by the payment operator. You will receive additional confirmation in a separate e-mail from avg.cs@digitalriver.com.

Please take a note that the exact time the refunded amount will reach your account depends on payment operators, therefore we can no longer influence this process.

Generally, it should not take more than 7 business days.

I found out from my credit card statement that there is an unauthorized charge on my account for $49.99 on 7th December 2018 from DRI AVG technologies,. I only put the trial version on, and did not wish to automatic renewal, and it was shown as expired trial version on my desktop, so I am really confused and concerned about this.

Could you please help me with this issue, I would like request for refund (following 30-day refund policy)
I try to call the refund-free toll number, but was not able to do so.
