Ronnie,
Sorry for the inconvenience, have you installed trial version of AVG Internet Security? If so make sure whether you have the following default settings.
Open AVG Internet Security -> Menu at the top right -> Settings -> Components -> Enhanced firewall -> Customize -> System rules -> make sure all the task has been enabled.
Again, Firewall -> Customize -> Network Profiles -> change all the profiles from public to Private. To add those site to the exception list, open Internet Security -> Menu -> Settings -> General -> Exception -> add your URL. We are here if you need further help.
When a visit a site I get the pop message from AVG web site blocked. Can anybody tell me how to set up AVG to allow that site as I trust it and know that it is safe?
I am using version 16.151.803 and it does not have the option you talk about in your previous coments so not sure what to do?

Ronnie,
Please be informed that the current AVG version is 17.9. I would request you to uninstall AVG Internet Security from the control panel and reinstall (https://www.avg.com/en-us/download)the updated version to fix the issue.
