Undo file deletion of scan routine

Greetings,

We're glad to clarify this for you.
Usually, AVG do not delete any files unless if it is unable to fix a infected file or if the action is set to delete an infected file.
Furthermore, you'll be able to review & restore the quarantined files (if any). To do so : Open AVG Antivirus - Menu - Quarantine - Select the file - Choose the desired action.
Thank you for your understanding in advance!

Thank you for writing back.

If the pop-up shows that the infected file is deleted, I'm sorry the particular file is completely deleted from your PC and there is no option to restore it.

If 'generate file' option is enabled in AVG Internet Security scan settings, you can locate the report in C drive.

For the steps to enable the option, refer the article below.

Hello world,

AVG lately deleted my complete computer - in other words it deleted the files for my VM-Ware during a deep scan of the host.
How can I get the files back? Since I need to at least get some files from that VM-Ware even if it should really be contaminated.
Thanx in advance
Yours C.

Greetings Dinesh,

I'm afraid the situation was different from what you say: after the scan the app showed a list on which there were several files moved to quarantine AND several files marked as deleted. As far as I understnd the program settings it deletes files it can't move to the quarantine, right?
Hence, I see several files in the quarantine but not the important one (.vmem).
Is there a log-file I could check for what AVG Internetsecurity really has done?

Thank you for this latest information which matches what happened here.
Badluck!
So now I switched the setting of the app from the recommended setting to "move to quarantine" to prevent future file deletion.

Apart from that: thank you for your good software. Thank you to everyone in the team!
