Unexpected Invoice

I have checked your subscription details and could not see any records about you cancelling the subscription. You were charged this amount because the automatic renewal of AVG Secure VPN Multi-device (60 day trial) was not cancelled.
I also could not find any records that you contacted our customer care to cancel the upcoming automatic renewal.
We can assure you that we have not processed any unauthorized payments from your card or account. Please confirm how would you like to proceed with this charge.

I was astonished to receive an email on October 9th, renewing an invoice (order no removed)_ for a service from which I had unsubscribed ( order no removed) on October2nd; the free trial was due to end on October 16th.
When I unsubscribed on October 2nd, I had no intention of signing up for a year until October 2020 and was equally perturbed to receive an email from Paypal, listing the said amount.
Any comments?

We have initiated the refund for £64.99 charge and an email has been sent explaining its status.
If the email is not found in inbox do check in spam and junk folders.

As I am still in the 2 month trial until October 16th, is it possible to cancel the subscription for the year until October 2020 and provide the information to Paypal? 
I find it strange that there are no records of my cancellation  on October 2nd, but accept that there may have been a glitch in communication.

Do you mean you would like to cancel the recent renewal and get a refund?
